New Thematic Visits
The Maison Hannon is offering a brand-new programme of thematic visits. Every month, you can enjoy a guided tour to discover the secrets of the Maison Hannon and get a new view on our heritage.
The restoration works and the painted wall decorations in the conservatory.
With Emmanuelle Job of KIK-IRPA (Royal Institute for Art Heritage)
During an initial study in 2004, we made a surprising discovery: the stencil painting of the greenhouse dome had been preserved! We knew about it from a photograph published in 1905 in the Belgian periodical L’Émulation, but it had been well hidden under four layers of paint applied over the years.
On September 19th, Emmanuelle Job (KIK-IRPA) will tell you more about the restoration works. For instance, she will explain how the painted wall decoration of the winter garden will be carefully exposed. Reservation is required.
