Art nouveau, art for all?
05.10.23
Themed tour guided by the Maison Hannon team.
In 1900, with the industrial revolution in full swing, artists such as Paul Hankar, Henry Van de Velde, Gustave Serrurier-Bovy and others set out to revolutionize lifestyles. Their art became total.
Thanks to these initiatives, everyday art was tailor-made to meet the demands of an emerging social class wishing to assert itself as a class in its own right.
Has Art Nouveau succeeded in embracing this idealism? Has it become an art for all? The Maison Hannon team will be offering guided tours and discussions on these questions, as well as exploring the site and the first exhibition.
