Combined guided tour : Hôtel Solvay & Maison Hannon
08.02 | 15:00
The Maison Hannon and the Hôtel Solvay offer a fascinating journey into the heart of Brussels’ Art Nouveau. This double visit highlights the iconic figures of their owners. The Maison Hannon, designed by Jules Brunfaut, was the private residence of Edouard Hannon, an engineer at Solvay, and his wife Marie Debard. It reflects their refined taste for Belgian and French Art Nouveau. The Hôtel Solvay, a masterpiece by Victor Horta, was commissioned by Armand Solvay, heir to the chemical industry magnate, whose wealth and spirit of innovation are boldly reflected in this unprecedented architectural achievement. These two sites embody the elegance and vision of their owners, key figures in the industrial and artistic heritage of late 19th-century Brussels.
The first visit starts at 15h00 at the Maison Hannon, the second at 16h45 at the Hôtel Solvay.
Tour exclusively in French.
