The Belle Époque was a time of French savoir-vivre, the pleasures of the culinary arts, the art of living, entertaining and celebrating traditions.  Through the daily lives of the Hannon couple, discover how population growth and industrialisation shaped a new bourgeois class with a taste for refinement, comfort and new techniques. 

At the end of the 19^e century, electricity became a source of lighting, which took off after the 1881 International Exhibition in Paris and underwent spectacular development. It would shape our everyday lives and revolutionise them, igniting not only our homes, but also the imaginations of designers.
